We chose a music magazine and then analysed it. We looked at these points.
Typical Features
Mixmag had advertisements about every 2nd opening, it was designed to fit the genre (in this case as it is a kind of electronic/techno genre, the magazine is brightly colored and all the bands are smiling and jumping around.) The bands are represented in the way they want. (in this magazine they are mostly represented as youthful, energetic and just generally joyful)
Target Audience
The target audience for this magazine are young adults, as the magazine is designed in a colorful and quite youthful way. There is a medium amount of text, so it is not too much to read, but enough to satisfy a not quite child audience.
Representation
The band in this magazine is represented as youthful, joyful and just generally carefree. They do this by the expressions on their faces, the poses they are in while the pictures are taken and the clothing they wear. (they are constantly smiling, they are in very relaxed poses and wear colorful and stylish clothing) The things they talk about are personalities, parties and about others having fun. (things that we might find interesting.)

This is a link to an apple article about marketing to teens. Media Work Related Video II (Superball Budlight comercial)
I chose this video for my media work because i though it filled most of the criteria for a good advertisement. It is also easy to relate to if you are a beer-drinking adult who gets bored easily and likes football. The budlight product is very clearly shown in the video.
Media Work Related Video I (Cadburry Eye-brow comercial)
I chose this one because 1, it filled most of the ad-criteria and 2, because it was dynamic, humorous and it engages the audience in a many ways, eg. through the children. The video doesnt show the cadburry product as such, but it does have the 'cadburry colours' on the childrens clothes.
